Post by DeePost by a***@ualr.eduSharon suggested we start a new topic on songs we never miss and then the ones we hit "thank you, next" after the first note.
And if you have scoop on songs Barry is none to fond of from his repertoire ("Heaven" was mentioned) that would be an added bonus.
I'll start with my never miss - "Who Needs to Dream" and I can't hit > fast enough on "Read 'Em and Weep." I can't wait to hear yours...

Gave away Swing Street and Paradise Cafe albums as they just weren't my kind of music. I'm not one of the fans who say they would buy Barry singing the phone book. One of my fave albums was "If I should love again". I seem to remember I loved all of the tracks on that, but haven't played any Manilow for ages (not played much music at all, come to that).
I'm like Angela. I have my top favs and do not buy a CD just because it's Barry. In fact, there are several I have not purchased because I simply don't want them. "If I Should Love Again" was the one I went to most because I liked all the songs on it. I don't buy one just because there is one or maybe two songs out of the whole thing I like. If I wait long enough, it will probably be released again on another CD with some other songs I like and then I'll consider buying it. I must admit I haven't listened to any of them in years as I'm just to busy with life...family, etc. After seeing Barry over 200 times in his career and hearing him sing the same songs over and over, catering to the civilians and not the people who put him where he is today, I just don't go to his shows anymore. Life has a way of taking over and the funds are better spent in other ways.
Now.....my favorite song? I really don't have a favorite although I like some more than others. The one I like the least is "Bermuda Triangle" but if I hear "CSWY" and "It's A Miracle" one more time, I will scream!
I truly hope Barry changes up the show when he returns after Summer as, judging from what Dana posts on the Barrynet, (she seems to go to every show) it's the same songs over and over again, still catering to the civies. Why spend the money to see the shows when she posts a play by play, complete with pictures from every show? My favorite shows were those from the Mayflower, complete with the little skits, back in the day.
Happy April Fool's day everyone! JW
