I can't help but wonder if Mr M will cancel LV shows in light of the current Covid 19 situation. I wouldn't be surprised if this is being considered.

It would suck for those who have tix for the next month of or so of shows, but safer in the long run not only for the fans who might attend but also for Mr M himself.

Stay safe,
Annie

The next Vegas dates aren’t until the last weekend in March. They still have time to decide.

Many places across the country are limiting or canceling events with more than a certain number of people involved. I would assume that the powers that be in Vegas (or Nevada, if the decision is made state-wide) are monitoring the situation and will decide accordingly.
In other words... the decision may not be in the hands of BarryCo.

MGM have already closed their venues thru to at least mid-May.

It's only a matter of time before others follow.

I've been surprised at Barry's recent shows that he's been shaking hands along most of the front row at the end of his show. Perhaps that's his show of defiance in the current situation.

The Wynn & its sister property Encore are closing for 2 weeks, effective as of 6PM Las Vegas Time TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 17th. They say they’ll re-evaluate the situation when this initial 2-week period is over.

Either this article or the 1 linked above says The Venetian & its sister property, The Palazzo, plan to remain open.

These are all Strip resorts. I don’t think the Westgate is considered a Strip hotel (nor was it considered 1 when it was the Hilton, or when it went by any other name.

We're booked for three May shows, and we'd almost prefer if they announced cancellations/postponements now so we can proceed with changing our airline and hotel reservations. I'm sure (I hope, anyway) that the Manilow team is working things out with the Westgate, however it'd be nice if we heard a little something from them in the interim. There's nothing on the Westgate site at all. (I've never stayed there, but I got an email from them advertising low room rates for March. Yikes.)

I just want everyone to be safe, and to be given enough notice if shows are cancelled. People need time to rearrange their plans (and try to recoup what they've spent where possible), especially considering how overwhelmed the hotels and airlines are right now.

No word on Manilow

At this writing, there is no formal word on Barry Manilow’s
schedule at Westgate’s International Theater. With strong sales
throughout his upcoming run, Manilow been booked for nine shows
in March and April, continuing his regular schedule through May.

Manilow posted Monday afternoon on Instagram he’d have an
announcement within 24 hours.
===============

There's an Instagram letter from Manilow at the link above.

Thank you Scooter! I hadn't seen it. I pay more attention to Twitter than Instagram. We were getting a little concerned.

In the last 2 hours, The Venetian & its sister property, The Palazzo, announced they’re closing from Tuesday (TODAY) until April 1st. A decision about reopening or staying closed beyond that date will be made later.

Also, the Cosmopolitan will close as of 6PM Las Vegas time March 18-March 31, 2020.

So far, the Westgate remains open for what it’s worth.
