For weeks, I've noticed some odd things missing from the grocery
store shelves besides any and all wipes.

Minute Maid Orange Juice
Cream of Celery Soup
Canned English Peas
Oscar Mayer Smoked Ham
Clauson Dill Pickle Halves

Paper towels and TP seem to have reappeared.

It's odd what is either being bought up by the case, or is
simply no longer being shipped.

Anyway, it's not stuff I can't live without. Just struck me as
odd.

Scooter,

I can’t figure out why my local grocery store still has a shortage of canned soup.

But at I can buy cleaning supplies again!

Not sure about the soup shortage either.
I know that my local Aldi has signs up all over their canned goods section... only 4 cans of any one kind of veggie per transaction. You can get more than 4 total... like 4 cans of peas AND 4 cans of corn, just no more than 4 of a kind.

Also noticed that while bleach seems to be coming back to the shelves (again with limits at some stores) I can't find Clorox 2 pods anywhere any more.

Got plenty of TP, LOL. I bought ONE package when the panic hit last spring so I'mstocked for a while. I almost said "I'm good to go" but that's a bit much even from me... LOL

Maybe lots of folks are eating at home when they used to eat out
way too much. Canned vegetables are easy to throw in the
microwave. Soup is easy to heat up on the stove. Plus you can
make lots of recipes using soup as a base. I make some tasty
beef tips using cream of celery soup.

Maria, we found alcohol, limit 2 bottles. We got it in case we
run out of hand santizer so we can make our own.

Finding rubbing alcohol is nearly impossible. I guess people make hand sanitizer with it.

Pasta is still hard to find. So is any rice a roni other than chicken & beef.

We still have sparse cleaning supplies and wipes available.

At least TP, paper towels and water are back.

I'm just a lucky guy regarding getting food during the pandemic. As a senior, I get five frozen meals each week since the pandemic started delivered to my apartment Also, I supplement my frozen meals by picking up milk, fruit and vegetables by going weekly to the drive through food distribution given by the Feeding South Florida organization. For me it's Major Grey's Mango Chutney. Haven't been able to find that for months.

I don't know that I've experienced any real shortages on the stuff that I usually buy. The stuff I'm missing is stuff that was pulled from the shelves BEFORE all the crazy hit.
- Pepsi no longer sells caffeine-free Diet Pepsi in 2-liter bottles, and NO diet Mug Root Beer at all. (This may apply to just my local area; I know I can get the root beer up in Pennsylvania.)
- Casa Visco Pizza Sauce. Mostly a New York thing I guess, and they DO have mail order but shipping glass jars is expensive.
- Just TRY finding LITE Hawaiian Punch anywhere around here. (mix half & half w/ Diet Sprite...)
and dang I could really use a good Italian Beef fix. Fellow Chicago-area people will understand! :-)

But milk, bread, cereal, veggies... no problem. Meat prices are up, but no real shortages that I've noticed. Maybe it's 'cuz I tend to shop the cheap stores anyway. :-)
