Friday night Sir Paul MaCartney played the Texas Rangers'
ballpark in Arlington, TX. (That's between Fort Worth and
Dallas.) I wish I could have been there, but it was a bit too
rich for my pocketbook. I remember watching the Beatles on
their first Ed Sullivan Show waaaay back in 1964. So
impressive he's still performing a 3-hour, 38 song show when
he turns 77 next Tuesday.

Here's the set list:

Reminds of waaaaaay back during the Showstoppers tour.

Sir Paul and Barry were BOTH in Chicago, on the same night.

I was too sick (and too broke) to see either one of them.

Still have never seen Sir Paul live in concert, and it's not likely I will. Such is life.

And... sorry, Scooter... I wasn't born yet when the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan... :-)

Thanks for sharing this, Scooter!!

I was lucky enough to see Sir Paul several years ago here in DC. He played over 3.5 hours and thankfully it was before they stopped running the metro at midnight or people would have missed their trains to get home.

How lucky we are to still have him performing. I am sure the audience loved the show!

It was one of the best concerts of my life!
He also had one of the best Super Bowl half-time shows - Super
Bowl XXXIX (2005).

In 2016, Barry was here in Little Rock the first of April and Sir Paul finished it out at the end of the month. I was broke for a long time, but it was awesome and totally worth it.

On a side note, Sir Paul had mentioned that he was inspired by the young girls from the Central High School crisis to write Blackbird. The Governor's office here knew the story and worked with Sir Paul's people. The women had up front seats and went backstage afterwards to meet him. It was incredible to hear him sing that song knowing they were in the audience several rows in front of me and I'm sure gave extra meaning to him knowing they were there.
