Hey gang!

We all have things in out lives besides Barry. My latest involves finally getting my book published!

When I was a kid, my aunt's cat wrote letters to me. Various stories of life with my aunt, but all written from the cat's point of view. The Great Roaring Monster that lives in the hall closet, the Going-to-Bed routine, the proper placement of the hairball, and more.

THE SMITH KITTEN LETTERS... now available on Amazon.

Thanks, Angela! My aunt tried to have these published in the early 80's but for whatever reason, it didn't happen.
She was, in many ways, my own "Auntie Mame." :-)

Very cute book.

I enjoyed reading it. Your Aunt had a way with descriptive words and sharing precious memories.

Dave, I just finished reading "The Smith Kitten Letters." I
said I was going to get it for my Kindle, but decided to get an
actual print copy since this is a first edition, and I wanted to
keep it on my bookshelf since I kinda-sorta know the author. ;)

People who have shared their lives with cats will nod their
heads in agreement reading Smith Kitten's observations. I've
lived with many cats in my life, and always knew they were
special creatures. But I was very pleased to learn they can
type. Maybe that's why my typewriter ribbons seemed to wear out
so quickly. :-D

Thanks for sharing those precious notes with the world.

Scooter...

Thanks so much for the kind words! My aunt and I always disagreed over the typing... she thought Smith typed with paws (like pets in today's TV ads) while I figured paws would be too wide, and so Smith typed with the end of the tail.
Of course, even from Kitty Heaven, that's one issue that Smith never resolved. So I guess we'll never know. :-)

That last one... "Local Authors" at the Prince William Library in Virginia... I already knew about. I dropped off a copy for their review a couple of months ago and they decided to add it. (Not only do I live there, I used to work for them, once upon a time.) It's not in the library's online catalog YET as they're still processing it, but soon!

Thanks for letting me know about the others. I'd do a happy dance except I'd probably fall over. :-)

I seem to remember a guy, maybe it was on the old Ed Sullivan
Show, that sat in a chair, and tap-danced. He was great! Maybe
you can do your happy dance that way. ;-)
