For those that attended the original production of Harmony in San Diego, Rebecca Luker (who played Mary) announced today that she was diagnosed with ALS late last year. I often hear her performances on XMSirius Broadway channel and I recognize her voice instantly.

ALS is a horrible disease and I'm sorry Rebecca and her husband have to go through dealing with it.

NY Times Article about Rebecca. There will be a benefit to raise money for an ALS drug candidate that needs funding. Rebecca will sing 3 songs and participate in a conversation with Katie Couric.
